Windhaven Ranch | Electric Transformations
June 16, 2015
Our first wedding of the year is always an interesting one. We have to dig out equipment we usually don’t use – like our charm! It was our honor to work with Nikki & Evan Hussar to transform Windhaven Ranch into their dream venue. The venue offered a lot of potential, which is what you should always look for when picking out a place to have a reception or ceremony. It is not always about how it looks now, its how we can make it look!
Here is a before picture,
And after a long day of transformation, the venue was completely different. Before we show you the final product, I want to outline some highlights:
Nikki (The bride) wanted rustic elegance, so to take a regular barn and make it elegant posed some peculiar issues. To add a level of dimension to the venue, we decided on length wise swaggings with 2 inch globe (market) lights. I felt that this design felt more natural to the flow of the reception, as the tables were to be length wise as well. In order to hide the horse stalls, we use pipe and drape with a gorgeous soft pink light cast. This really brought down the ceiling height, and made the venue not feel 30 feet tall. For the ceremony outside we decided on two gorgeous handmade chandeliers with a white satin tree swag. The chandeliers made the ceremony feel more intimate, and added some eye candy for the cameras and guests!
Check out the results!
Congratulations Nikki & Evan,
And of course, special thanks to everyone who helped make this happen, in particular I want to thank Laura Hernandez Photography for taking such great images and helping us make the venue look gorgeous.
